Bathroom Renovations

Every renovation starts with what exists: we survey the current layout, drain positions, water supply and any hidden problems — the discoveries that derail budgets when they surface unplanned. From there we agree the new layout with you, balancing what you want against what the drainage and structure realistically allow.

Moving fixtures is expensive in drainage terms; sometimes a small layout adjustment delivers the same result for less. We give you that advice before demolition, not after. Once the design is settled we schedule the work so the bathroom is out of service for the shortest possible time.

Strip-out is followed immediately by the plumbing phase: relocating or upgrading supply and waste lines, correcting falls, and renewing valves and connections so new fixtures sit on new pipework rather than forty-year-old branches. Waterproofing to the floor and wet walls comes next, then screeds set to the new drain levels, then tiling and fixture installation.

Fixture installation follows the same standards as our sanitary fitting work — level, sealed, tested and accessible. We finish with a full functional test of every outlet and drain, and a walkthrough with you covering care of the finishes and the location of all isolation valves.

Because the room is already open, a renovation is the economical moment to add improvements that would otherwise cost double: pressure boosting for a better shower, a mixer shower in place of a gravity one, extra outlets and accessories, better ventilation, heated or storage improvements on the hot water line, and access panels where maintenance was previously impossible.

We will suggest these where they fit your goals and budget, and we will not sell them where they do not. The measure of the renovation is a bathroom that works better and holds its value — not a longer invoice.
